A start on the Champs Elysées, the Louvre, the Bastille, the Quays of the Seine or even the Eiffel Tower, it is a mythical course, and many marathoners come from around the world to do it at least once in their lives. Thus, this year, nearly 140 nationalities and more than 50,000 runners will meet April 12 next to run the 42.195 km from the most famous track event organized in the streets of Paris and now timed by TAG Heuer!

The mark will thus be present upstream of the event at the Salon of the Running of the April 9-11, and the day J along the route, from the most beautiful avenue in the world of the Champs-Elysees to avenue Foch. An area of encouragement #Dontcrackunderpressure initiated by TAG Heuer will be compiled up Warsaw, between the Eiffel Tower and the place du Trocadéro: giant screen and DJ support riders in their final stretch after 29km to race. Finally, TAG Heuer ascend the podium deliver a watch to the winners in each category.
Remember that running is a field still little explored by the Swiss watchmaking industry: it recognizes here the side pioneer of the brand since 1860 (and especially scents it's Mr. Biver) which is designed to always push the boundaries of time and accuracy. The world record fell in Berlin in 2014, with a time of 2h02min57s for 42.195 km: it is expected that this exploit is renewed in the future very close.
You think the photo of this watch in black and white. That nenni! It is simply its true colours. Black and silver. A direct inspiration for the Carrera de Mr Jack Heuer. It is for these reasons that this watch looks so close to the historic original model of the Carrera two counters of the 1960s, very publicly traded with collectors with its counter black chrono at 9 o'clock and the second place in 3 hours.
You will notice that it is not a standard bicompax/date chronograph. Indeed, it has on its flange (in place of the tachometer) watches, a rangefinder, a relatively old function developed to calculate the distance between the user (and his watch) of the place where the lightning hit, based on the speed of sound. The army used it in artillery, including the firing of cannon.
Bracelet leather perforated black (very pilot), the shape of the tappets and its small diameter of 39mm, supplemented by the loop of his bracelet with Heuer logo engraved, gives this model an undeniable vintage look. The dial is also marked with the logo vintage Heuer (no TAG). It should be noted that this watch embeds "glassbox" Sapphire which refines its profile. Finally, the Sapphire allows to admire the mechanics of the 18 gauge and its decorated oscillating weight.
